Compared with last year (2008), Vietnam competitiveness has been improved in most factors. The overall mark of Vietnam in 2009 increases to 38.2 (rank 42) from 34.5 (rank 48) of 2008. However, 2 lowest factors fall into Education (rank 48) and Science&Technology (rank 49). This trend shows an unsustainable development of Vietnam. So that, the most important problem for Vietnam at this time is how to improve the quality of education and scientific research.
